DIY : Tea Towel Gift Wrap.

This tea towel gift wrap DIY is the perfect way to make your hostess gift extra special this holiday season.

During the holidays I just love to get creative in the kitchen. Not only with my recipes, but also with my gifting. Food Gifts have become a tradition year after year in my family. This holiday season I wanted to put an extra special spin on this.

I decided to play around with some of our new tea towels and turn them into a gift wrap. Sometimes taking just a bottle of wine or champagne doesn’t quite sound like enough. Adding the tea towel to my hostess gifts is just the right special touch.

All you need is a nice tea towel, a little twine and scissors. We used two sizes here for reference. The Gingham Check tea towel measures 18” x 30” and the Railroad Stripe print measures 18” x 18”. Both sizes worked great.

For this first one I started by lying the wine bottle flat in the middle with the top sticking out. Next you just fold up the bottom and roll each side over on one another. Cut a few inches of twine, tie in a knot, and there you go! SO simple and easy.

If you don’t have any twine available, or have more of a loose tea tea towel, this knotting option works great as well. You just start by placing the bottle in the middle of the towel and fold over both the top and the bottom. Next, grab the opposite corners and tie them into a knot, followed by the remaining corners. This only takes about 30 seconds.

I hope you use this easy little hack this holiday season. To make the gift even more special add a little gift tag to the twine. Let me know your favorite food gift in the comments below!
